This route links together several well-maintained graded roads to form a pleasant, meandering scenic drive along the ridge of the San Bernardino Mountains to the south of Bear Valley. During dry months the route is passable in any street vehicle, making for a nice drive for those who would like to get off the beaten path but without the stress of technical off-roading. Skyline Drive also provides access to two of our favorite routes down into the Santa Ana River Gorge, Clarg's Grade and Radford Truck Trail.
