This route links together several well-maintained graded roads to form a pleasant, meandering scenic drive along the ridge of the San Bernardino Mountains to the south of Bear Valley. During dry months the route is passable in any street vehicle, making for a nice drive for those who would like to get off the beaten path but without the stress of technical off-roading. Skyline Drive also provides access to two of our favorite routes down into the Santa Ana River Gorge, Clarg’s Grade and Radford Truck Trail.

Trail Rating: GRADED ROAD
This route uses well-maintained graded dirt roads that are suitable for any street vehicle with sturdy tires, as four-wheel-drive and high ground clearance are not needed from spring through fall. During winter, snow and mud may make these routes impassible without four wheel drive.
